Outdoor Progress!

The lawn after mowing!. And crazy tree cut down!

Other crazy bush cut down on corner! Now room for bike:)
Tah Dah! The front now looking beautiful without those nasty tree!. We are thinking of keeping these little posts and connecting them with rope. What do you think? Very nautical right?
The dreaded stump is almost gone!
                                         Roots grow right through shells.
                                                          No more stump!
Other stump looks innocent but what a pain to get out !
But it is no match for Super Dave and his ax!
                                                          Bye Bye ugly trees!

More Beach Cottage Renovation Photos!

See all the photos here:
Some lovely progress! Paneling removed from B side living room walls!
More removal of paneling in bedroom A side.
Also window was taken out and now we are waiting for our custom size widows :(
Nastyness in bathroom A side! Tub wasn't connected to drain!
More nastyness! Had to remove everything from both side kitchens to find the where the water was coming from!
Found the leaks were coming from these water heaters located under the kitchen counters ( how convenient to get to!)
I guess 44 years is pretty good for water heaters ! lol
Who knows how long  they were leaking though??!!!

Beach Cottages inside Photos!

Lovely kitchen in A ( left side) Cabinets were given a lovely distressed finish! (Yes-That's on purpose!)
Other side of Kitchen- Complete with refrigerator nook & a look down the hallway to bedroom on left and backdoor

Bathroom
Bedroom facing Closet - The people who lived here developed a way to get the dust off of the ceiling fan without having to clean it. If you just wait long enough, it eventually gets so big and thick that it falls off by itself when you turn the fan on!  (sadly I found out the hard way that this was their theory- YUCK! SHOWER!!)
Kitchen in B (right side) with our super fantastic realtor Rose!

Sneak Peek at the House that Etsy Built!

Archive for the ‘The House That Etsy Built’ Category

This is the final sneak peek of The House That Etsy Built! See the other sneak peeks HERE. My family recently moved into a new house. Well, an old house that is new to us. In fact, only about a week ago we had our first sleepover in the new space. In the months leading up to this move, I had an idea, as I do at 3:30am when I am supposed to be getting my beauty sleep. What would a house filled with handmade creations from small business owners on Etsy look like?! Pretty freaking amazing, I suspected. So I started spending HOURS upon HOURS finding what I consider the cutest, most customizable, modern, forward-thinking Etsy shops. Look for the final photos of our completed house in mid April. We are so excited and cannot wait to share it with you! Also, finding time to sleep after this is over would be cool too. Of course, I must thank the incredible Etsy shops who have worked so hard on these gorgeous creations for our custom home! I can promise you that no where else on the internet but Etsy will you find such beautiful, unique, handmade home decor items…that arrive in such gorgeous wrapping it really makes you feel like its Christmas. It made me smile so big when I read one note from an Etsy shop that said, “I am living my dream thanks to Etsy!” I totally get that, as I am living my dream thanks to Lookie Boo’s readers. So thank you as well! I have the best looking readers on the whole internet. Totally not bias. – XOXO Tiffany Reese
